Starting up Mondo Cane Publishing is no simple task. It sounds easy enough with a simple announcement and launch of a (simple) website. Our values include transparency—among others—which we use as guiding lights while moving toward bringing evocative, strange, and inspiring tabletop roleplaying games to players everywhere. In the spirit of transparency, we want to answer the question that many people have been wondering, “What’s next for Mondo Cane Publishing?!”
Behind the scenes activities.
Since the announcement, we have taking on a few projects including game development support, guest writing services, and editing & layout. However, there has also been a lot of planning going on behind the scenes. There is a solid plan which includes several new game lines and a standard dice system that works for each of our games, and we are really excited to announce the first release. That’s mostly all we can say about the premiere game line or any of our planned releases, but what we can say is that each game will encompass a distinct genre and unique setting. Sci-fi, fantasy, horror, comedy, and more. There is much work to be done before we announce so stay tuned in the meantime!
Building the team.
There has been a lot of interest to join the Mondo Cane Publishing team so far; we appreciate everyone who has been reaching out to express their interest in joining us. No one is, nor should they be, an island. Game development is something that will be made possible by bringing together a diverse group of talented and passionate individuals under one banner to start developing and delivering amazing tabletop games. Sure, there are those of you who are writers, game developers, or artists who will be important. we love hearing from those talented people who have that kind of core competency and passion for TTRPG. However, we also want to connect with others who excel in other categories related to operations, logistics, project management, marketing, and even people who are hoping to develop their core competencies or break into the tabletop gaming industry. We are looking for passionate people who want to help make great games happen. So, long as you have that you fit the bill. Reach out to us and tell us what you are all about along with what you are interested in doing. The plan is to start announcing the core team mid-to-late Fall of 2021.
