Exit Stage Right.

Before officially founding Mondo Cane Publishing Mark and Rick resigned from their roles at Gehenna Gaming after co-founding the company and helping to lead the strategic direction for 2 years of Twitch streaming, online events, and TTRPG community engagement.

As announced by Gehenna Gaming, via their blog on 8/15/2021

“…two of the [Gehenna Gaming] co-founders, Mark Q Anderson and Rick Wheeler, will be spinning off an independent ‘NewCo’ in order to accelerate tabletop game development initiatives…Mark and Rick have decided to leave Gehenna Gaming to found a new company, ‘NewCo,’ yet to be officially announced. This venture will focus on tabletop game development and services, along with product development and sales…With the success of The Red Opera from Apotheosis Studios and the forthcoming Necrobiotic from Penny for a Tale, for which Rick and Mark collaborated with Ian to write compelling scenarios, this new company will be poised to develop creative and unique games in the TTRPG industry…”

Game development and writing was always the one star in sight, and focusing in on releasing TTRPG game lines and products was an organic and obvious movement forward. We are eternally grateful for the opportunity to work on such a rapidly growing brand like Gehenna Gaming, and we’re very excited to cheer from the sidelines as Ian E. Muller continues the focus on streaming entertainment.

In the meantime, this “NewCo” which we are calling Mondo Cane Publishing has a lot of very exciting plans in the tabletop game development sphere that we can’t wait to announce!
